TOP TEN
FESTIVAL
COMMANDMENTS
1. Honor Thy Venue:
Leave no trace but thy footsteps, hold space as you would for your own.
2. Honor All Artists:
Every act, big or small, contributes to the festival's magic. Give newcomers a chance, express gratitude for the gifts of the beat.
3. Honor Thyself:
Water is life, especially during long days of dancing and sun. Hydrate, stretch, eat, supplement, and be kind. Your future self will thank you for wearing earplugs.
4. Honor Thy Neighbor:
Be excellent to everyone; we're all here to have a good time. Reach out and share the love. Keep up with thy fellow weirdos.
5. Thou Shalt Give:
Whether it's a campsite, othersâ swag, or a view of the stage, respect thy brethrenâs molecules. Bring something to share; vibes, gifts, a hug. Therein lies the magic.
6. Geteth thee Weird
In all ways of dress and dance, express thyself in all thy glory. Your expression is permission to others.
7. Thou Shalt Wear Sensible Shoes:
Prepare for 40,000 steps a day worth of funky dancing, and space trekking.
8. Everything In Moderation:
Including moderation itself! Know thy limits, and test thy party favors. Test strips and narcan are cheaper than a trip to the ER⊠or Valhalla.
9. Bear True Witness to the Music:
Be present, this is what you came for. Document your journey but live in the moment. Sometimes, it's better to experience the show than to record it.
10. Bring the Love Home:
Music festivals are a place of unity. Not everyone in the other world has experienced this type of love, but you can bring it back with you and share it.
